John Devivo, his brother Ralph and their wives, Lindsay and Melissa have fifty combined years in the food industry. The brothers pay heritage to their Italian ancestors by giving the gift of food to their customers. Everything they make is from scratch, including their delicious assortment of baked goods. Devivo’s has traditional Italian fare (like the fettuccine alfredo I had, pictured below) and American dishes as well (like the meatloaf my companion had, also pictured). Side note, most of the time the advertising photos from a restaurant look nothing like the food you actually get (I’m looking at you Taco Bell’s waffle taco) but at Devivo’s it does and it’s just as tasty as it looks. If you look on their website, the meatloaf they advertise is exactly what we got and both of our meals were delicious.
I’m not the only one that liked Devivo’s. It was voted best of the best by Keller citizens in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Reader’s choice made it a best of in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Not only does Devivo’s cater, they have an alternate business they run, specifically for catering called, Hook &Ladder Pizza Co. They have repurposed an old fire truck giving it a wood-burning pizza oven and two draft taps. The fire truck drives to wherever catering is needed be it tailgating, birthday party, wedding, fundraisers or wherever else pizza is needed. They offer different packages for catering, from a bare minimum simple pizza package to an extravagant, specialty pizza, salad and soda package. They even have gluten free options. Whatever package you choose comes with two hours of pizza making goodness and all the paper products needed for all the food. Hook & Ladder provides any and all plates, cups, napkins and cutlery needed. The staff does all the set-up, cooking and cleaning themselves so, all you have to do is enjoy their presence.
