I have found a secret weapon in the kitchen and I’m going to share it with you! My parents have me running all their errands lately and recently my to-do list including picking up tea for my dad. It led to the discovery of The Spice & Tea Exchange and dinner time will never be the same!
Like most of you, I’ve been cooking more at home lately but my culinary skills leave a lot to be desired. I wish I’d known about this place six months ago! My Chicken Marsala went from, “Aww, mom do we hafta?”, to, “Is there enough for seconds?”. It’s amazing what fresh spices will do for a meal!The Spice & Tea Exchange has 85 hand-crafted seasonings that staff personally hand mix in the store each day.
You can get anything from steak rubs to Kimchi seasoning to spices for a full-bodied garlic aioli. There’s separate sections for pre-mixed sugars, salts and peppers and I’ve made it my personal goal to try each one. In addition to all the amazing spices, you can also pick up loose tea. I’m not a big tea drinker but my dad is and he loves this store. He said one of his favorite things about the store was the custom made sample pack on his first visit. He didn’t know what he would like so, the staff (super helpful and friendly) put together some different teas in a sampler for him to try. He has been a loyal customer since then and has made one of me as well.
