903 Brewers

The Dallas-Fort Worth area is saturated with breweries all over the metroplex, from McKinney, to Fort Worth, to Denton, and even all the way north to Sherman. While you may be familiar with some of the larger breweries in the area, such as Deep Ellum Brewing Co and Rahr & Sons, breweries like 903 Brewers are constantly pushing the limits through experimentation.

903 Brewers first opened its doors in 2013, debuting with their Chosen One Coconut Ale and Roo’s Red Ale. Since then, they’ve cultivated several award-winning beers, including the Sasquatch Imperial Chocolate Milk Stout, which won the silver medal in the 2015 Great American Beer Festival.

If dark beers like stouts or porters aren’t your thing, 903 Brewers releases beers weekly to satisfy everyone’s palettes. They also brew lagers, pilsners, IPAs of all styles, ales, fruited sours, and their famous slushy beers! 903’s ever-popular Slushy Series consists of a Berliner-Weisse packed with a ton of fruit puree, giving it a slushy or smoothie-like consistency. The brewery is constantly experimenting with their beer flavors. This week, 903 releases a strawberry cheesecake slushy! I’ve yet to try it, but you can believe I’m taking a trip to Sherman soon to experience this mouth-watering ale for myself!

You won’t have to travel far if you get hungry because 903 has a full-fledged kitchen to satisfy your appetite, such as thick, juicy burgers, crispy pizzas, several smoked barbecue options, and even new items like their Nashville hot chicken sandwich! For brunch every Sunday, 903 whips up a Belgian waffle burger (including bacon!), an egg and biscuit sandwich with gravy, and much more.

What about kids and pets? The brewery is kid-friendly and children are welcome during regular business hours. 903’s patio is pet-friendly. I’ve personally brought my parrots, and have encountered many dogs at the brewery, so bring your family and furry friends for kind company, creative brews, and finger-lickin’ good food. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for everyone!
