Oh K-Dog

Did you know there’s a full-fledged Koreatown in the DFW area? Carrollton is home to numerous Korean grocery stores, restaurants, and more. Oh K-Dog is on Old Denton Road next door to the Carrollton H-Mart location.

Korean corn dogs are all the rave in the US. What makes Korean corn dogs different from their American counterpart is that the Korean version is made from hot dogs, mozzarella cheese, or a combination of the two. They are then skewered and coated in batter before finally being covered in a generous amount of sugar.

Oh K-Dog offers unique variations of their Korean dogs, like their Squid Games-themed squid ink dog, sweet potato dog, a rice cake (or tteokbokki) dog, and even a cheese and hotdog topped with diced potato cubes.

If hot dogs aren’t your thing, Oh K-Dog also serves classic Korean-style egg toasts. I ordered the classic egg toast, which consists of the fluffiest scrambled eggs and a drizzle of their sweet house mayo. If you’re craving a more complex egg toast, there are also options for a ham and cheese egg toast, avocado egg toast, bacon and cheese egg toast, and lastly, a teriyaki toast.
