Get a taste of the east coast with a visit to Dock Local. This fresh seafood restaurant offers a variety of delicious options served up in a laid back environment that is perfect for your next lunch or happy hour.

I decided to visit Dock Local’s Uptown location after passing by on a Saturday afternoon in the West Village shopping center. I instantly felt the restaurant’s friendly atmosphere upon walking into their cozy space. I was greeted by their team behind the counter who let me explore their menu before ordering. While everything sounded really good, I decided to stick with a classic and tried the Lobster Grinder Roll and cup of Lobster Bisque soup.

While I waited, I chatted with Dock Local’s friendly staff. My order was delivered to my table in no time. The roll was served with crispy chips and tasty pickles that paired well with the fresh seafood. My roll was pilled high with Lobster, Langostino Lobster Tails, Claw and Knuckle Meat. The sauce was a light seasoned mayonnaise and tasted great with the squeezed lemon that was served with the roll. I was so happy how light the food was, and that most of my entree was thick chunks of lobster that tasted great with the perfectly crispy bread roll.

Since the roll wasn’t mayonnaise heavy, it was a nice contrast to the rich flavorful soup. I loved that it warmed me up on a cold day and that it had a great lobster flavor that wasn’t overpowered by the bacon and chives it was served with. This meal truly transported me to dockside of a coastline. I truly enjoyed my experience and look forward to coming back soon for more seafood bites!
