While Hawaiian food may not be the first thing that comes to mind when looking for a place to eat, it will be after you have tried the delicious delights of Hawaiian Bros Island Grill. They have several locations throughout DFW, but I decided to head to the Hurst location that is conveniently located off of Texas 183.
Upon arrival, you will feel like you are on vacation with their bright pineapple artwork and relaxing atmosphere. We had time to check out their menu prior to arriving, which made it easy to order from their self-serve order platform.
If you don’t have time to sit down and enjoy your food at the restaurant, Hawaiian Bros Island Grill also offers a great drive through option to grab your favorites on the go. The basics come down to your meat of choice piled high with two sides. The traditional menu features macaroni salad and white rice for sides, but you can opt in for other items for an additional charge.
We decided on their traditional Huli Huli Chicken, which was perfectly marinated teriyaki style, and the Kilauea Chicken, which had great flavor with a lava-style kick. Each option paired well with its accompaniments and was the perfect serving size that left us feeling full and satisfied. While we didn’t necessarily save room for dessert, we couldn’t leave without trying the Dole Soft Serve that had great pineapple flavor. It was the perfect light option to end our meal, and I can’t wait to go back for more delicious food from Hawaiian Bros Island Grill.
