Ascension Coffee – Design District

While there’s plenty of places to grab a great coffee, this spot in the design district is serving up not only delicious drinks but a great ambiance and vibe. Ascension Coffee – Design District is located right on Oak Lawn Avenue and it’s the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast, work remotely, or even grab items to go.

I decided to try them out after hearing such great reviews from friends. Their parking lot was a little tight in this location, but since I was grabbing a drink to go I was able to take advantage of their short stay parking. Upon entering I was greeted by their friendly baristas and the strong delicious smell of fresh roasted beans. Their menu consists of your typical drip, cold brew, and teas in addition to fun flavored lattes, baked goods, grab and go items, and even a full breakfast and lunch menu.

Since I was on the go I decided to try their salted Carmel mocha iced latte. They were out of their regular mocha but the barista suggested the white mocha instead. The flavors were absolutely incredible without being too sweet. I also loved the beverage was prepared quickly but also tasted handcrafted. Their baristas were so friendly and it felt like I was spending time with friends instead of just waiting for items at a coffee shop.

While I didn’t have time to stay, this spot had plenty of seating indoor and outdoors. It would make the perfect spot to enjoy a brunch out with friends or grab your laptop to get some work done. Their menu looked tasty and it’s something I look forward to trying soon.
