Hard Eight BBQ

This Texas style bbq joint may have you feeling like you have the meat sweats, but you are sure to enjoy the food they offer. Located in Coppell off Freeport Parkway, Hard Eight BBQ has been serving up their smoke pit meats and delicious side inside their cafeteria style restaurant.

I had heard such great reviews from friends and social media so I knew I had to check it out. I highly recommend arriving early as there is usually a line. Don’t let that deter you though from visiting because the moment you bite into their tender meat and delectable sides you will feel like you’ve gone to heaven.

The ordering system was unique and we pointed to the meats we wanted straight from the smoking pit. After receiving our choices on a cafeteria tray we headed inside to pick up the pre packed desserts and sides. After selecting your entire meal you pay at the end of the line.

There’s plenty of seating indoors and has a cute rustic atmosphere. They also serve up their complimentary smoked beans inside the restaurant that have a great kick and go great with the meal. I loved how rich the brisket was and their jalapeño cheddar sausage that had a great snap. I also tried their creamy Mac n cheese. Everything was truly amazing and hard to pick what was my favorite. While I was too full from dessert they looked great and I know I will be back soon to try them.
