Dallas Zoo

From family friendly activities, day dates, school field trips, and more the Dallas Zoo has something for everyone. Along with the incredible animals, educational talks and plenty of food options it makes the perfect spot for your next outing.

Located just off the RL Thornton Freeway this zoo is an easy location to get to whether you are coming from the city or the suburbs. Tickets can be purchased onsite or online before heading to the animal park. With special offers for children, seniors and even weekday deals their pricing is affordable for what you get.

We grabbed tickets online and the entire process from parking to checking in was smooth. We came on a Saturday and it was quite busy so I highly recommend coming first thing in the morning or on a weekday to try and beat the crowd. While there were a lot of people we did have a great experience and saw a lot of active animals.

It was the perfect sunny day which made walking around the large park enjoyable. They also had several areas to catch some shade or go inside to cool down. The park is nicely laid out and we used the complimentary maps to guide ourselves. We were able to see everything from big cats to elephants in the Giants of the Savana to exotic birds and primates in the Wilds of Africa. The 106 acres of land truly had us getting our steps in.

We loved our experience here and know we will be heading back soon to see more of the beautiful animals.
