Torteria Insurgentes

Since 2004, Latin-owned Torteria Insurgentes has brought the taste, flavors, and iconic foods of Mexico City. Open until either 10 PM or 11 PM, Torteria Insurgentes serves authentic Mexican food in the style of Mexico City specifically. You can expect quesadillas, chilaquiles, tortas, sopes, gorditas, and of course, tacos!

I ordered the Brasilena torta, which consisted of chorizo, a fried egg, onions, tomatoes, and avocados. I also tried the pambazo, which is a sandwich dipped in guajillo sauce, filled with potatoes with pork sausage, lettuce, cream, and queso fresco. Both meals were more than satisfying and truly reminded me of the flavors of Mexico City.

You can’t forget about the Aguas Frescas when enjoying a meal. Torteria Insurgentes offers multiple Aguas Frescas flavors, from pineapple to horchata and hibiscus.
