Grounds and Gold Co.

Not only does this coffee shop offer a great cup of Joe, but was built on a mission that is quite the tear jerker. Grounds and Gold Co. is located in Arlington and has been serving delicious drinks and treats for years. They started as Gold Ribbon Confections, a bakery that was created to honor the owner’s sun Micah who unfortunately lost a 6 year battle with cancer. To honor Micah, this cafe was created in to benefit the community and keep their son’s legacy alive.

As soon as you walk inside you will understand why this cafe is such a hit in the community. The space is warm and inviting, offering a variety of seating options from comfy couches to tabletops that are perfect for meeting or working on your laptop. They also offer small meeting rooms and a larger event space that is perfect for your next office get-together, Bible study, or date night.

After taking some time to look over their menu of drinks, bakery items, and lunch items I decided on grabbing a classic cold brew and their speciality white rose late. Since it was warmer out these drinks were perfect to help us cool down. We grabbed a table inside to enjoy the air conditioning and atmosphere and after only a few moments our barista was ready with our drinks.

The cold brew was strong and a great afternoon pick-me-up. My friend enjoyed the luscious white chocolate flavor of their iced late and quickly finished the entire drink. We loved our experience here from the amazing drinks to the helpful staff and being able to support such an amazing small business.
