Merit Coffee Co.

If you need a great place to get your caffeine fix, then I highly recommend checking out Merit Coffee Co. This Texas based company has been roasting beans for over 7 years and has several locations in the DFW area. They are truly obsessed with their craft and you can tell by the delicious taste of each cup of coffee.

I decided to check them out when shopping near North Park mall. It was a cute area located inside a shopping center and offered plenty of parking and seating options both inside and out. The shop was fairly busy for a Sunday morning, but the staff still managed to get out orders in a timely fashion. As I waited to place my order, I was able to look over their menu that ranged in options from traditional brewed coffee to specialty lattes and iced drinks. I was excited to see they even offered something seasonal so I had to try to the iced Harvest Spice latte.

My order came with my choice of milk, which I chose the standard option, but love they offered a great selection of milk alternatives. In addition to their variety of drinks, they also had several food options from hot and savory breakfast tacos to sweet and comforting pastries. While I wasn’t in the mood for food, everything looked delicious and I highly recommend getting there early as some favorites tend to sell out.

After only a short wait, my order was ready to enjoy! The flavor packed the perfect punch of pumpkin and spice without being too overly sweet. I also loved that you could taste the slight bitterness of the strong roasted expresso. It was the perfect refreshing drink for the warmer fall weather that still had me in the mood for the season.

The ambiance of the store also added to my experience and it truly felt better than going to a chain coffee house. So next time you are in the mood for a caffeine kick, I recommend ordering from Merit Coffee Co.
