The season of gifting may be over, but you need to check out this Japanese variety store next time you are in Arlington. Located off Cooper Street near the Arlington Parks mall you will find Daiso. With cheap prices and unique items, this is definitely a place that you can shop until your drop.

A friend of mine was visiting from out of town so we decided to hit up the mall for some after holiday deals. Neither of us had been to Daiso before, but thought it would be a fun place to check out. Upon walking inside we were delighted with the selection of merchandise that ranged from stationary, décor, homegoods, gifts, and even snacks that you can’t find in your typical variety store. Since it’s Japanese based, we didn’t recognize a lot of the brands, but it made it a fun shopping experience to walk around and discover new items. They had such a large selection of goods making it easy to get lost inside the store, but they made it easy to navigate by being clean and well organized.

The entire staff were kind and helpful in answering some questions we had regarding items we were unfamiliar with. We had such a fun time picking up different items to take home with us and I even grabbed some last minute gifts to bring to a late holiday party I was attending! The best part was that they were having after holiday sales that made their prices even more affordable. Even though the items are at a lower price point you can rest assured that you are buying great quality products. We were super impressed with our purchases and loved their selection of imported goods. Daiso easily became a new favorite store for us and I look forward to returning soon to discover more great items.
