If you are a local TCU student or just someone looking to grab a delicious cup of coffee, then you need to check out Ampersand. Located in Fort Worth off University Drive, this centrally located coffee shop on TCU’s campus is serving up tasty drinks in a delightful atmosphere that is perfect for students and locals alike.
We decided to stop by when visiting the campus and I was highly impressed with their menu, service, and of course the taste of my pasty and drink. Walking inside was different then other coffee shops as they had a DJ serving up good vibes for a game day Saturday in Funky Town. I loved that their menu offered something for everyone whether you were looking for a strong cup of black coffee or a fun latte with seasonal syrups.
Since I was in the mood for something sweet I decided to try an iced toasted coconut latte as it was one of their signature drinks and sounded refreshing for a hot day. I also grabbed a blueberry menu that was made fresh and served warmed up. The latte came with toasted hazelnut breve topped with coconut cream cold foam. Both my drink and the muffin were absolutely delicious and I couldn’t stop raving about the flavors. If I was a student or lived in the Fort Worth area, I know this place would be a favorite of mine to visit time and time again.
The atmosphere inside the shop is also beautiful with their comfortable seating options and plenty of light making it a great place to visit with friends or get some work done. They offer free wifi making it a great place for students and locals alike. I would highly recommend this shop and hope to visit again soon to try out their other menu items.
