While it might not feel like Fall yet in DFW, there is plenty of fall favorites to enjoy around the Metroplex. Whether you are looking for a pumpkin spice latte or an ube chai latte, you are going to want to check out Fairgrounds Café. Located off Cole Avenue in the Knox Henderson neighborhood of Dallas you can find this friendly neighborhood joint that is the perfect place to grab a refreshing beverage or work from their comfortable space.
I decided to stop in when looking for something to cool down with after running errands in the area. I spotted this location across from the Trader Joes and based off the number of people enjoying their outdoor patio area, I knew I had to try it. Their menu is packed with delicious beverages whether you are hoping for coffee, tea, or even a bite to eat. There is so much to offer no matter if you are craving something sweet or savory.
I knew I had to get something seasonal and ordered their Pumpkin Shaken Espresso that came with homemade pumpkin sauce, espresso, and milk shaken and served over ice with a toasted orange garnish. The drink total came to $7 which now feels typical for specialty coffee drinks. The barista was extremely friendly and got to work on my order while I grabbed a table in their café. They had plenty of seating options both indoor and outdoor and perfect for if you are coming alone or with a group. Before I knew it, my drink was ready to enjoy.
The espresso was the perfect bitter taste combined with the sweetness of the pumpkin and orange. I also enjoyed that I was able to order with my milk of choice without an additional charge. I loved the experience and can’t wait to come back soon to try their other homemade syrups in a late, smoothie or even tea.
