Hillstone

Whether you are celebrating a special event or just looking for an upscale dining experience, then you need to check out Hillstone. Located off Preston Road in the Plaza at Preston Center, this delicious restaurant is known for their steaks and American fare served up in their beautiful dining room. We have loved their restaurant for years and it is always a favorite of ours for their excellent service and great dining experience.

We recently visited for a birthday celebration and this experience was on par with what we have received before. Since this spot is quite popular, we did make a reservation online and were immediately seated upon arrival. While their dining area and bar is quite large, they do recommend dining in smaller parties and are not fit for a larger group. Their comfortable dining area includes plush booths and intimate lighting. Their entire staffs oozes professional from welcoming you to the restaurant, seating, and recommendations from their menu.

Since we’ve been before, we felt like we didn’t need a menu, but from their list of menu options it’s hard to pick something that won’t be tasty. We started off our meal with their famous spinach and artichoke dip that was served hot with tortilla chips, salsa, and sour cream. Since It was a celebration we also grabbed a smokey old fashioned and a tastefully tart signature margarita. Our drinks came out shortly and after a quick cheers we were delighted by the flavors of our beverages that paired perfectly with our appetizer. Our server was great in checking in with us throughout the dining experience and even brought us additional chips and continued to fill up our water.

For our main entrees we selected their ribs with a double order of fries and the pan-Asian noodle salad that can with large chunks of mango, avocado, tomato, chopped peanuts, basil, and mint. I ordered my salad with chicken as my protein to complete the meal and was impressed by the massive portion of food I received. I loved how bright and well rounded the dish was and truly a fulfilling entrée option. My partner enjoyed their fall off the bone ribs that were easy to eat with a fork and knife. They also commented on how crispy the fries were and how well it paired together.

We truly enjoyed another wonderful dinner at Hillstone and can’t wait to return soon for our next celebration.
