La Souq

One of my favorite things about the coffee scene in DFW is that you can get coffees inspired by all over the world. We’ve got at least one Australian coffee shop, Korean coffee shops, Vietnamese coffee, and even Middle Eastern-inspired coffee.

La Souq is the latest Middle Eastern-owned coffee shop to open in Richardson. You’ve got your standard coffee drinks like cortados, drip coffee, and cappuccino. What makes this roastery and coffee shop truly special is the Middle Eastern-inspired signature items La Souq offers.

Let’s start with the signature drinks. The Za’atar W Zeit Latte consists of thyme and olive oil. The fig and cinnamon latte is absolutely to die for. It’s one of the most inventive coffees I’ve ever had. They also offer Turkish coffee served for two and the Aden Gold Rush latte which comes with cardamom and hot honey.

If you’re more in a tea or refresher mood, you’re in luck! From Karak Chai and lemon basil iced tea to the Zaher lemonade with orange blossoms and lemonade, all of their signature drinks are innovative. You really can’t go wrong with your options.

Now we can’t forget dessert! With options like labneh and fig cheesecake, chai tiramisu and saffron eclair, La Souq takes roots from their Middle Eastern culture and prominently displays it in their product offerings.
