Urban Bird Hot Chicken

If you love food that packs a punch, you are going to love the flavors from Urban Bird Hot Chicken. Newly opened in Grand Prairie off Carrier Parkway, this hot chicken restaurant is serving up fries, tenders, and sandwiches that are sure to make you sweat.

As someone who loves spicy foods, I knew I had to give them a try. Based on the reviews online regarding their service, I decided to order my lunch for pick-up. Even with choosing to have my order as soon as possible, there was a 30-35 minute wait ensuring your order is prepared fresh. Their menu offers a variety whether you are looking for their classic basket of two jumbo tenders, a crispy chicken sandwich, waffles and chicken, or their legendary fries.

In addition to their menu variety, these also offer different heat levels whether you are not a lover of spice or wanting to burn your mouth. For my meal I went with the tender basket that came with two juicy pickle slices, white bread, sauce, and side of my choice. I loved that they offered something for everyone whether you wanted classic fries or a healthier kale slaw. I choice their seasoned fries and they were the perfect compliment to my spicy chicken. I decided to sub their signature sauce for ranch as I wanted something to help cool down the heat level of their Nashville hot.

When I arrived for pick up, I did have to wait a short time before someone was able to assist me at the counter. Though my food was ready I was impressed that it was still warm by the time I got home. I loved the amount of food I received for the price and loved the spicy flavor from the chicken. The tenders were a great size and packed the perfect punch. The breading wasn’t too much and the white meat was tender and juicy. It was a very filling lunch and I know it will be a spot I visit again.
