The Aussie Grind Provisions

G’day mate! Did you know that DFW is home to an Australian style cafe? The spirit of Aussie hospitality can be found right here in Farmers Branch at The Aussie Grind Provisions.

This spot is known for their friendly hospitality and menu full of Australian inspired drinks and food. Since I was in the area looking for a spot to get some work done, I decided to give them a try. Upon my arrival I was instantly greeted by their friendly staff and loved the bright and welcoming atmosphere of the cafe. I took a few minutes to visit their menu and look at their pastry case before ordering.

I decided to try their version of an Americano called the Iced Long Black and added some sugar free caramel for a touch of sweetness. To pair with my drink I decided to try their espresso loaf cake that came baked with fresh ground espresso and topped with espresso icing.

While I waited for my treats to be made, I grabbed an indoor table inside the cafe but loved that they offered both indoor and outdoor seating. The space was lively yet still made a great place to get some work done on my computer. After only a short wait, the barista brought out my selections that were the perfect pick me up for the long day ahead. The coffee was a great mix of punch from the bold espresso shots to a light sweetness from the added syrup. While the loaf was the perfect size for a light snack, it didn’t have as much flavor as I expected and was a little dry but paired nicely with my coffee.

The pricing was great for the items offered and it was such a fun little gem in a more industrial neighborhood. I would definitely return to try out some of their other Aussie inspired menu items.
