The saying goes “April showers, bring May flowers” and with this in mind, I knew I wanted to get a head start on my garden design and decorating. With the weather starting to feel like spring in DFW, I knew I wanted to check out some local nurseries to have my landscaping feeling ready so I could enjoy my outdoor spaces. A favorite place of mine is Moon Valley Nurseries which is conveniently located off State Highway 121 in Grapevine. With it’s central location in DFW it makes it an easy place to visit weather you live on the east side or the west.
The staff at this location is not only super nice, but truly knows their stuff and is knowledgeable about all things plants and florals. Whether you need something small to brighten your inside kitchen space or looking to redesign your entire backyard to the greenery space of your dreams, they have you covered. On my most recent visit I had a general idea of what I was looking for as there was a particularly shady area of my front yard that I wanted to fill. I spoke with their staff about the ideas I had and they quickly walked through my options. I loved that they even took into account my budget and didn’t try to upsell me on something that wasn’t necessary.
In addition to grabbing some plants for my space, they also helped me figure out a care plan that would help my selections to thrive in their environment. You can truly tell the staff cares about their customers and want to make them loyalty members who will continue to put their trust in their business. The staff also goes the extra mile by assisting with loading your purchase into your car and their customer service feels like an extra special touch to the experience.
We found their pricing to be extremely fair and reasonable for the amount of items we walked away with. After several weeks our plants still look great in their new environment and we are happy with our purchases. This is a place that I will recommend to friends and family time and time again and can’t wait to return soon!
