Scratch Wings

Recently I had a deep craving for chicken wings, and while there are plenty of options for fast food wings, I knew I wanted something local. I did a quick Google search and found a place called Scratch Wings that was right in the neighborhood. This nonchain Asian and women owned restaurant in Grand Prairie can be found off South Carrier Parkway. Easy to miss in a small strip mall, you are not going to want to miss this local restaurant that is serving up bold flavors and delicious bites.

Their collection of amazing reviews made me want to check them out and while I was originally craving wings, I decided to try out their hand breaded chicken strips. There was so many different flavor combinations to choose from, whether you are craving something classic like spicy OG buffalo or wanting something unique like Maple Bourbon Butter they truly have something for everyone whether you enjoy sweet or savory.

Their menu was conveniently on their website making it easy to see each flavor profile of their signature sauces. I decided I wanted to try something different, so I grabbed their Korean Sweet N Spicy sauce that is coined as their best seller and a blend of sweetness and heat with a bold kick of Gochujang. Since I wanted enough for leftovers, I ordered the Tenders Starving which came with 4 large double fried tenders that were hand tossed in the sauce of my choosing and a side of their seasoned fries or rice. The meal also included one of their house made dipping sauces. I am a sucker for ranch but wanted a slight twist, so I went with their dill pickle ranch.

Their online website made it easy to order everything and customize my meal to my liking. Upon arrival at the restaurant, they were just finishing up my order, and I loved that it was ready at the same time it was predicted online. The shop was small on the inside with some tables available for inside eating, but I would definitely recommend grabbing items to go if you have a larger group. Even with the short trip home, the food was still hot and ready to enjoy my dinner. I loved that they properly packaged my to-go order and their staff was super nice.

In terms of the food quality, I was extremely impressed with how much food I received for the cost. Everything tasted amazing and it is now a place that I crave going weekly.
