Sometimes even thinking about what to have for dinner can be a pain on those busy weeknights. Or how about when you want to host a party and need something that will be filling, affordable, and perfect for your invite list that includes both adults and children? Whether you can relate to one of these situations or just looking for a great pizza place in the neighborhood, then Papa Murphy’s should be on your radar. Located in Mansfield off Debbie Lane, this spot is perfect for those in the Arlington, Grand Prairie, and Mansfield neighborhoods. Easy to get to from Texas 360 or 287, this pizza place is a great stop whether you choose to order ahead or just drop in for a quick pick up.
What sets Papa Murphy’s apart from their competition is this spot is for take and bake pizzas. I loved this concept as sometimes I find that by the time I get a local pizza delivered or home for pick-up it’s already cold and needs to be put in the oven. With this restaurant, the pizzas are designed to be picked up cold and baked at home either right away or stored in the freezer for a later day. Think of it like a better than grocery store frozen pizza with options that are already made or a full list of ingredients you can choose from to customize for your liking.
On my recent visit we were feeding a crowd, and I knew I could expect a great quality dinner option that would be perfect for all tastebuds. Since we were grabbing multiple pizzas we used their easy online ordering system that lets us choose a selection of their classic pies and add custom toppings to make them perfect for our group. Online ordering also allows you to select a pickup time whether you need it within 30 minutes or later that same day. I loved that you could also order different sides and desserts to make it a complete meal and easy option for a big group. Their customazations even include different crust thickness, dairy free cheese, and even crustless. The options are truly endless and perfect for any dietary needs.
Once arriving to the restaurant our pick-up order was ready to go and came with cooking directions to make sure our pies tasted perfect. It was easy enough to throw them in the oven at their proper cooking temperatures and times, and after about 14 minutes our pizzas were ready to enjoy. Everyone commented on how great they tasted, and there wasn’t a bad pie in the bunch. We also appreciated that the toppings were plentiful and well layered, making it look like we had ordered from a local shop. My favorite was the veggie pizza that came with spinach, mushrooms, roma tomatoes, mozzarella and cheddar cheese, and a creamy garlic crust. Our experiences at Papa Murphy’s continue to be great, and I love that I can rely on them when I am in a pinch.
