While not located directly in DFW, just outside the Metroplex you can find a great staycation and concert venue. Lucas Oil Live Entertainment Venue is just over the border in Thackerville, Oklahoma and has a calendar packed of live events that you won’t want to miss. Connected to the Winstar Casino, this spot is perfect if you are looking for an all-in-one entertainment and hotel venue perfect for your next getaway.
We decided to take the short 90 minute ride up to Thackerville to enjoy one of our favorite bands live. The pricing for our tickets were reasonable in a day and age where evyerhting seems to be becoming more and more expensive. On the campus you will find a whole list of ammenties if you are looking to play and stay at WinStar resort. Whether you are looking to relax at the spa or poolside, or wanting to gamble at their large casino or play on their beautiful golf course they truly have something for everyone. In addition to the long list of activities to take part of they also have a full list of dining options that range from fine to casual dining and perfect for every appetite. With some much to do and discover this spot makes the perfect place for a weekend getaway when you are wanting a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.
While we didn’t stay onsite, we loved exploring the different amenities including their world class concert venue. The ease of seeing a concert here started with the vast parking options from the complimetary gated garage to the valet options that are perfect if you are wanting ease and luxury. The seats inside the venue were extremely comfortable and it didn’t seem like there was a bad view in the house. The lighting and sound system made for a pleasant and fun atmosphere that we will talk about for ages. I loved this spot for a concert and would definitely return to their venue in the future.
