I love food with a little kick so spicy chicken is definitely a favorite of mine. When I found out Ricky’s Hot Chicken was in Arlington, I couldn’t wait to visit to give them a try. Located off Cooper Street it’s the perfect spot for an after shopping dinner or lunch date.
On a Saturday night, this spot was hopping. Inside you were greeted by the sweet heat of their chicken and colorful mural artwork. In addition to getting regular chicken pieces they offer other menu items and delicious sides to choose from. While choosing your menu items you will also get to choose your spice level for your chicken that ranges from no heat to A bomb.
Everything looked and smelled delicious, but ultimately I decided to try their Bird’s Nest which consisted of Chopped Tenders, Vinegar Slaw, Comeback Sauce, Pickles, Bed of Fries and a Drink. This entire meal was reasonably priced for the amount of food I received. I absolutely loved the medium heat level I chose that packed a great punch of spice without being too hot to heat. The slaw perfectly tamed the heat of the chicken and I loved the tartness of the pickles and sauce.
I would come back alone for the food, but truly also enjoyed the atmosphere. So next time you are looking to enjoy some spicy chicken I highly recommend checking out Ricky’s.
