The Standard Pour

There’s nothing better than a spot that offers a great happy hour, delicious food and superb service. All of this can be found at The Standard Pour. Located off McKinney Ave in Uptown it’s a great location right in the center of all the action in Dallas.

While they did offer some parking onsite or street options, we walked from our destination. It was the perfect place to grab a bite to eat before heading to the American Airlines Center and was only a short Uber drive away. We had made a reservation in advance and loved that our table was ready upon arrival. The reserved sign on our table made us feel like celebrities.

We loved the variety of seating options from their indoor restaurant to their outdoor covered patio. We were lucky to have a spot on the patio to enjoy the weather! I would recommend making a reservation as this spot was hoping even on a weeknight. If you’re looking for a great deal on drinks and appetizers make sure to visit during happy hour from 4-6pm or all day on Mondays.

Our group enjoyed their specials on beer and a delicious old fashioned that was only $5 during the special. While we enjoyed our drinks we tried their spinach artichoke appetizer that was hot and tasted great with the chips and hot sourdough bread. Our waitress was extremely attentive and even gave us some menu recommendations.

We finally decided to try both of their chicken sandwiches. I loved the grilled chicken option that came fully dressed with lettuce, tomato, bacon and cheese with a creamy jalapeño ranch. I loved it with my side of sweet potato fries. My counterparts went for the crispy spicy chicken sandwich and different sides of Brussel sprouts and regular fries. We couldn’t believe how much food we received and were completely full. Everything was absolutely delicious! I know I will be coming back soon to try more of their menu items and even head back for their brunch menu.
