Uncle Julio’s

Looking for a great experience and delicious Tex-Mex options? Then a visit to Uncle Julio’s is a must. With several locations across the DFW area it’s the perfect spot for your next lunch out, dinner date or family event. We decided to stop by for a celebration dinner at their Lemmon Ave location. Perfectly situated before Oak Lawn and Uptown it’s a great spot to dine at.

Since we were going on a weekend we made sure to make a reservation to ensure a table and quick seating. I do recommend also giving yourself extra time as their lord can fill up quickly. We were luckily able to find a spot in the back and our table was ready right on time. While we took our time to explore the menu, our waitress grabbed up waters and some fresh chips and salsa. The salsa had great spice without being overpowering and we loved how crispy and salty the chips were.

In addition, to the chips and salsa we tried their table side guac, which was an experience in itself. We loved seeing the food made right in front of us and the taste was fresh and perfectly balanced. For our main meal we both tried their fish tacos that were topped with cabbage and a pico-de-Gallo salsa. I loved how it tasted with the grilled fish! The meal was extremely filling with the beans and rice and was a great price for everything we received.

While we skipped dessert and drinks on this visit, we enjoyed watching others try their chocolate piñata that is filled with fruit and churros and served with dipping sauces. It’s the perfect way to end a meal! We also heard great reviews on their swirl margaritas and will be something I know I will try next visit!
