Nestled quietly in Carrollton’s Trinity Valley Shopping Center is a hidden gem serving up authentic Venezuelan fares. Hola Cafe is serving up all your favorite Latin American dishes daily until 10 PM so you can get your fix no matter the time of day!

I knew right away I was in the mood for some thick and fully stuffed arepas. I had the pleasure of trying a simple but satisfying cheese arepa alongside a spinach and chicken arepa. The portions were more than generous, as I had to take an arepa home!

We also enjoyed ropa vieja (shredded flank steak) with sides of plantains, rice topped with an egg, and beans! The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the plains were so sweet. We also tried tequeños, which are essentially Venezuelan cheese sticks, and they are to die for! They’re served with a garlic aioli that I’m still dreaming about.

Hola Cafe’s menu is extensive, from Venezuelan street food classics like arepas and empanadas to creative burgers with a creative Venezuelan twist. You can also enjoy a variety of cocktails, coffees, and desserts!
