Read Between The Lines

Have you ever scrambled to get a last-minute gift for a friend, loved one, or coworker? Sometimes the big box stores lack gifts that are personable and thoughtful. Read Between The Lines is a modern gift store that produces their own stationary locally in Plano, Texas at The Shops At Legacy. This underrated gem offers locally-produced goods, from notebooks and notepads to candles and cards. Whether you’re in the market for an anniversary card, birthday card, or a card just because, Read Between The Lines has a variety of cards, ranging from witty and funny, to sweet and thoughtful.

The crew at Read Between The Lines craft their candles in-house, and you can even see the process behind a glass panel in the store. It’s exciting watching the staff in action crafting fine scented candles with unique scents, like passion fruit, orchid, cocoa, plumeria, copal and guaiacwood (yes, that’s one candle!); or bergamot, grapefruit, neroli, orange blossom, and amberwood.

There’s even a cooking and baking section that’s unexpectedly inclusive. There are recipe books focused on food predominantly consumed in black cultures, as well as gluten-free and vegan books. There are even gluten-free popcorn bags from a specialty popcorn store based in Asheville, North Carolina.

Get your loved ones a gift they’ll never forget from Read Between The Lines.
