Discover the enduring flavors of Greece right here in DFW! Nestled in Irving off MacArthur Boulevard, Nick the Greek continues to tantalize taste buds with its irresistible menu. With delicious sweet and savory options, their whole menu will make you want to yell Opa after visiting for lunch or dinner.
We decided to give them a try for lunch and were blow away by the crowd that was there for their opening weekend. The delightful smells of roasted meat had us salivating as we waited in line and loved that their friendly staff were handing out menus and samples to help beat the heat. We started off with a taste of their frozen Greek yogurt and sweet honey that was perfect for the hot weather we have been having in DFW recently.
While we waited we took a look at their menu so that we could be ready to order. I loved their variety from salads to bowls and even pita sandwiches. There was so much to choose from that made it hard to decide what to get! Ultimately I choose the Greek bowl with lamb and beef gyro that reminded me of a Chipotle style bowl. Severed on rice or fries of my choice and topped with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, a spicy tzatziki, and lots of roasted gyro it was amazing! The food was not only plentiful and worth the price, but so tasty and I loved how all the ingredients paired together.
My counterpart enjoyed the Greek salad with gyro and the pork souvlaki plate. None of us had a complaint about the experience and loved everything from the amazing food to the friendly staff. I am still dreaming about the different items we got to try, and look forward to hearing back soon and diving into their other menu options.
