We visited the Denton location, located minutes from Denton’s Historic Square, which is open Thursdays through Sundays for weekend axe-throwing fun. The Horse’s Axe provides the safest axe throwing experience in DFW. Other axe throwing locations have target boards that make your axe bounce back when thrown. The Horses’s Axe uses grain targets grain targets to combat ricochets and bounce backs, making it a safe way to test your aim!
What also sets The Horse’s Axe from other axe throwing facilities is that they utilize projected targets, rather than a painted target on wood. This allows you to play multiple games, rather than simply throwing your axe at a target for an hour. You can practice your aim with games like Duck Hunter and Zombie Hunter, where you aim your axe at the zombies or ducks and earn points per target.
Other projected axe games are available such as tic-tac-toe, Connect 4, Blackjack, and even a Candy Crush-style game!
