La Abejita Ice Cream

La Abejita Ice Cream shop is a Latino-owned, family-owned ice cream parlor and snack shop for all of your Mexican-inspired munchie needs. This hidden gem is located in East Plano, off of 75 and 18th Street. You may have been in the neighborhood without even knowing!

La Abejita, which means “little bee” in Spanish, carries some of the most creative ice cream flavor options around. I tried the tequila ice cream (don’t worry, it’s non-alcoholic!) and it was spot on, minus the booze! There were so many options I wanted to try, like egg nog, Gansito, guava, mazapan, toasted coconut, and pine nut!

Other sweet offerings include fresas con crema, or strawberries and cream, which they give you a very generous portion of! They also have churros (filled or regular), popsicles, banana splits, and more!

If you’re feeling a savory snack, you’re in luck. We tried La Abejita’s elote and it was absolutely perfect. The corn was fresh, warm, the cheese tasted amazing, and it was satisfying overall!

The best thing about La Abejita is that it’s open from 10 AM – 9:30 PM every single day of the week. No matter what time of day your sweet or savory cravings hit, La Abejita will be there to take care of you.
