One of Denison’s best-kept secrets is held in an unassuming coffee shop in Downtown Denison. What you don’t know is this coffee shop is also a plant shop, and also a boutique, and also a restaurant. Whether you’re stopping by for a specialty iced latte or wanting to browse plants, clothes, or vinyl records, or grab a bite to eat, 410 Collective + Coffee is open 7 days a week.
We stopped by 410 Collective simply wanting to try a craft coffee and were pleasantly surprised with all this local business has to offer. Upon entering this rustic boutique, you’re immediately greeted by all sorts of beautiful plants and cacti looking for new homes. Beyond the plants are countless racks with specialty clothes, accessories, hats, and more. You can even find jewelry, sunglasses, jackets, and shoes for both men and women.
As mentioned earlier, we were really on the hunt for some coffee. The autumn menu caught our eye. We couldn’t decide on which drink to get so we ordered three! We tried the Ceridwen, which is a matcha and chai latte with harvest moon cold foam; the Nebula, which is an ube latte; and Celestial Crunch, a bananas foster creme brulee latte. Each drink was flavorful and true to their description without tasting artificial.
We also noticed a quaint kitchen towards the back of the boutique. This kitchen has several gluten free and keto options. We enjoyed the fried bologna sammy, featuring a thick cut slice of fried bologna and topped with homemade BBQ seasoning, mustard, and cheddar cheese on brioche bread. We also tried the Gobbler, a turkey and swiss cheese sandwich on artisan multi-grain bread with a creamy garlic spread, cranberry chutney, lettuce, and tomato. Each sandwich comes with your choice of chips or soup!
