Sometimes the best part of a dining experience is the cocktails. Well what if I told you, you could enjoy your favorite craft cocktails both at a fun distillery and at home? Yes, you can get great southern inspired food and beverages at Lockwood Distilling Company.
Located in Richardson, Lockwood Distilling Co. was built for the love of the community by couple Sally and Evan Batt. They were inspired by their family, friends and neighbors to create a space where people can enjoy crafted cocktails and food in a lively space. You can feel their love for their craft simply by walking through the doors. Their staff was extremely friendly and greeted us immediately. While we weren’t there to dine, we did look over their menu. Whether you are in the mood for just appetizers to enjoy with cocktails or a southern inspired entrée, you are sure to love their electric selection of options.
In addition to a great full menu of food options, they offer a variety of cocktails that were created with alcohols distilled onsite. A friend of mine had been before and was the reason for our trip here. We wanted to grab some of their bottled old fashioneds that were the perfect gifts for the holiday season. Not being a big whiskey person myself, I was hesitant to try them, but were pleasantly surprised with how smooth and flavorful the draft cocktails were. Just this experience has made me want to go back to try their other distilled liquors such as their Hibiscus vodka, bourbon cream, or cinnamon flavored rum. Regardless who you are shopping for, they have so many different options to choose from!
These bottles made the perfect gift and all of our friends and family really enjoyed them. It was great to support a local distillery and I look forward to returning soon to try out their menu options.
