Historic Downtown Plano is packed with so many local dining, entertainment, and shopping options that you could easily make a day of it. From performing arts and galleries to restaurants and specialty shops, downtown Plano has a bit of everything.
Georgia’s Farmers Market is just one of many independently-owned businesses located in the Historic Downtown Plano. I stumbled across this cute shop and its precious blue pickup truck during the 2023 annual Christmas tree lighting.
This produce market is open year-round and is stocked with organic fruits and veggies which vary by season, as well as a multitude of locally-made candies, jellies, and more! I was particularly fascinated by the relishes, jams, jellies, and salsas section which featured unique flavors from local culinary geniuses. Take a peak at some of the distinct products:
- Sweet Onion Relish
- Jalapeno Corn Relish
- Homemade Butter Pickles
- Rhubarb Jam
- Blackberry Lemon Verbena Jam
- Pumpkin Butter
- Pecan Jelly, which is delicious!
If you’re the adventurous type, Georgia’s Farmers Market’s most popular product is their own pickled quail eggs. They have mild pickled quail eggs, as well as spicy pickled quail eggs.
I had a sweet tooth that evening so I did nibble on some homemade brittle from Vending Nut Co. Some options include pecan brittle, jalapeño peanut brittle, and cashew brittle. The jalapeño brittle had the perfect amount of spicy and sweet. It was unlike any brittle I’d ever had!
Georgia’s Farmers Market has a little bit of everything, from condiments, specialty sweets, and organic dairy products to firewood and pickled quail eggs.
