While you have plenty of places to enjoy cold drinks in the Stockyards, I highly recommend checking out Cowtown Winery. Located right of Exchange Avenue close to where the famous cattle drive you can find this hole-in-the-wall joint serving up delicious wine and frozen cocktails.
We were just passing through and were instantly drawn in by their fun atmosphere and tasty sounding drinks. While they do offer some indoor seating for enjoying flights and the cool AC, we opted for to-go drinks from their frozen menu. We felt like kids in the candy store with their wide selection of flavors from traditional daiquiris to fun bellinis. It felt like they had a flavor combination for everyone.
My partner and I decided to try their frozen margarita and a pina colada in addition to their fruit flavored Jello shots. The flavors were a great mixture of tart and sweet that paired well with a hot day walking around the stockyards. The service inside was fast which was great for just stopping in to grab a drink to go. We appreciated this especially on such a busy weekend day where it was harder to find seats at neighboring bars.
The staff inside was extremely friendly and even let us sample some of the frozen options before selecting our perfect drink. They even let you mix and match the frozen items to help create your perfect beverage. We though the price we paid was well worth the cost and will definitely be back to enjoy more drink varieties.
