Panther City BBQ

Looking for mouthwatering barbeque that is worth the hype? Then you need to visit Panther City BBQ in Fort Worth. Located off Hattie Street this spot is serving up oak-smoked meats with tex mex sides that are truly delectable.

This no frills barbeque restaurant is perfect for locals or for those visiting the Fort Worth area. We visited on a Saturday and were lucky enough to walk right in and grab a table outside. Their menu had something for everyone from multi-meat plates to sandwiches and sides.

They had a large variety of smoked meats that are all priced by the ½ pound. On our recent visit we tried to smoked brisket, pulled pork, and jalapeno cheese sausage that were all included in the Cowtown platter. The brisket had such great flavor and wasn’t overly fatty which is something we appreciated. The pulled pork was tender and tasted great with their homemade sauce available at the table. Our favorite may have been the sausage that had a great bite and kick of flavor from the spicy jalapenos. With our meal we received two medium sides of their dill potato salad and borracho beans. My personal favorite was the potato salad that helped to cool off the spice from the meats.

In addition to our large platter that was plenty to share among two people (or more) we tried their loaded baked potato and banana bread pudding. Everything we ordered was tasty and definitely gave us plenty of food to take home with us. This was such a great spot and is a place we plan on visiting again.
