Grandscape in The Colony feels like its own destination with its variety of activities, restaurants and hotels making it the perfect place to visit this summer. Whether you are a local to North Texas or just wanting to enjoy a little getaway, heading here is the perfect spot for fun whether you are in need of a date night or family fun.
Located in Grandscape, you can find a live music venue that has an event schedule packed for the summer. Lava Cantina which started as a family business for a father and son has become a favorite of mine in the area. With a business influenced by the love of music, you will be sure to enjoy the high energy atmosphere that this venue has to offer.
We decided to visit them after stumbling upon their event schedule online. It was easy enough to find a cover band we enjoy as they offer shows for all genres. Whether you love rock, country, soul, pop, or hip hop you are sure to find a band that will have you rocking. Ticket prices vary depending on the band, season, and event date but felt reasonable for entertainment.
Upon arriving you will enjoy ample parking. Your seats will be dependent on which ticket you purchased, but it honestly didn’t seem like there was a bad seat in the house. The sound throughout the venue space was great and we enjoyed all of the entertainment throughout the night. From the preset to the DJ and even the main performer, everyone on set was ready to excite the crowd.
While we didn’t eat on this visit, they did offer a full food and beverage menu making it the perfect place for dinner and a show. They also offered a great happy hour menu that included weekend dates. Our group truly enjoyed our night out here and I look forward to attending more shows all summer long.
