There is nothing better than southern comfort food! That and a fun Texas-themed décor can be found at Saltgrass Steak House. With plenty of locations across the metroplex you can probably find one close to your neighborhood. I was happy to see we lived close to one in Cedar Hill that is conveniently located off North Highway 67.
We had a large group and this was one of the few restaurants in the area able to accommodate us for lunch. We loved that upon arrival we only had a short wait while they cleared our table for us in the dining room. While we waited we enjoyed checking out the décor that even started outside of the restaurant. They are true to their theme from the ambiance to the wait staff clothing and of course the menu.
Whether you are craving a hearty chicken fried steak with all the fixings or something on the lighter side, their menu is packed with options for every tastebud. This made dining here a great option for us as they had truly something for everyone. While we looked over their menu options our courteous waitress started us off with beverages of our choice and warm bread with butter. The bread and butter combo was absolutely heavenly and the perfect way to start off our meal.
For my main course, I opted for the salmon Cesar salad that can with garlic croutons, parmesan, and a creamy Cesar dressing. I was impressed with the size of the salmon that was cooked to perfection and the large salad that kept me full throughout the day. It was a perfect lunch option and something that I now find myself craving.
We loved our experience at this location and plan on returning soon so we can try more of their menu options. With great service and so many choices, it has become a new staple in our household for dining.
