Chicken Salad Chick

Looking for a great place to grab a bite to eat? Then look no further than Chicken Salad Chick. Located in the Arlington Highlands shopping center this chicken salad focused shop is serving up delicious scoops in delectable varieties that are sure to please any palate.

I had driven past this spot many times, but had yet to check them out for myself. When shopping in the area I decided to join them for lunch and I am so happy I did. Their menu includes multiple variations of chicken salads including traditional options like their Classic Carol that is served with all white meat, shredded chicken, finely minced celery, mayonnaise, and their secret seasoning to more eclectic flavors such as their Sassy Scotty that comes with a zesty blend of ranch, bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. There is truly something for everyone whether you enjoy savory or sweet chicken salads.

You can enjoy their menu as either a scoop with sides or atop a bed of lettuce or even a sandwich. I knew I was coming for the chicken salad specifically so I grabbed The Chick meal option that came with my choice of one of their chicken salads, a side option, pickle, and one of their famous mini round frosted buttercream cookies. For my scoop I opted for the Lauryn’s Lemon Basil that cam with chopped pecans, lemon, and you guessed it, fresh basil. The chicken salad was bright and flavorful and tasted like a mix of my favorite chicken salad with pesto. It was a delicious bite and paired perfectly with the salty and buttery crackers and the flavorful broccoli salad I got as a side. The broccoli salad came tossed with a sweet vinegarette dressing, mozzarella and cheddar cheese and crispy bacon.

I felt the entire meal had such great flavors and made for the perfect lunch. I grabbed this option to go and it was packaged perfectly and their online ordering system made it easy for me to grab on-the-go. Though walking inside their dining area was extremely clean and the décor felt like I was dining at a family member’s house. I know I will be returning soon to try their other chicken salad options which rotate seasonally so there is always something new to try.
