Pappasito’s Cantina

When visiting the Arlington Entertainment District, you have plenty of options for places to grab a bite. While you may already have a favorite, I highly recommend checking out Pappasito’s Cantina. Known for their fresh and delicious Tex-Mex food and margaritas, my latest visit to this restaurant did not disappoint.

When you first pull up to the restaurant you will love their expansive parking lot that matches the large size of this restaurant. It was easy to make a reservation online and our table was quickly ready when we arrived. Since I had never been before, I took some time to review their menu, but was quickly assured by our friendly waitress that no matter what I chose would be delicious. From creamy enchiladas to crispy tacos and comforting tortilla soup their menu offered something for everyone.

I finally decided to try their famous fajitas that were a great price for their lunch special that is offered week days from 11am-3pm. While we waited for our food to come out we all enjoyed their warm and tangy salsa that perfectly complimented the salty and crispy tortilla chips. While we didn’t enjoy any margaritas on this trip, we did enjoy the variety of sweet and savory options to choose from.

After only a short wait, our food was served hot and fresh. We couldn’t believe how large the positions were and I was instantly impressed with the smokey flavor from my chicken. The fajitas were served with plenty of toppings like cheese, Pico de Gallo, sour cream, guacamole, and fresh tortillas that were being made nearby. In addition we received frijole beans and Mexican rice that completed the meal.

There was plenty of food to share, even as a lunch portion and had me feeling full and satisfied. This spot instantly became a new favorite of mine and I look forward to returning soon to try more of their tasty menu items.
