When looking for a great place to spend a girls day, look no further than The Rose Garden Tea Room in Arlington. Located off Cooper Street inside the Gracie Lane shops, this elegant dining experience is perfect for lunch. Open 6 days a week from 11am-3:30pm this place offers a charming atmosphere to grab a bite.
We decided to visit for a celebration lunch and it was such a great experience. It was easy to call and make a reservation and when we arrived our table was ready. The tea room was beautifully decorated and reminded me of an event space, rather than a traditional restaurant, with twinkling lights, florals, and candles to set the mood for an elevated experience. The tea room menu offers a wide variety of options whether you are looking for something hearty like a sandwich or small bites to try a variety of their offerings.
After taking some time to enjoy conversation and looking at the menu, I ultimately decided on the Rose Garden Variety which came with a sample of their chicken salad, fresh fruit, slice of quiche, soup, and pumpkin bread. It was a great choice for getting to try a little bit of everything and perfect for someone who likes both sweet and savory options. Everything on the platter was extremely flavorful and well worth the price I paid.
My friends enjoyed their meals of the chicken salad sandwich that was served on their special swirl bread and came with a large side salad, while another friend tried their club sandwich that came pilled high with turkey, cheese, bacon, ham lettuce, and tomato and a large bowl of their chicken tortilla soup. There was no complaints on the food we tried and even agreed that it was hard to choose our favorite offering since everything tasted so great.
After we finished our meal we strolled around the Gracie Lane shops and enjoyed some retail therapy. This location offers the best of both worlds when it comes to dining and shopping. It is a new favorite on my list and I look forward to returning soon to support this family run business.
