River Legacy Parks

Now that the weather has finally started to cool down in DFW, its time to reconnect with nature and get outside. That’s why I am so happy to have found River Legacy Parks. Located in northern Arlington off NW Green Oaks Boulevard, this 1300 acre park offers plenty of green space and trails for you and your family to enjoy.

Getting to walk around the park was truly a treat as the ground were extremely well maintained. They offered plenty of areas to enjoy from their hiking and biking trails to enjoy some exercise to picnic areas and playgrounds to enjoy some family time on the weekends. The entire area we explored was extremely serene and offered beautiful views.

This park offers much to discover and according to the visitor maps offers 400 species of wildlife including birds, trees, and plants so be sure to keep your eyes open to all the beauty this place has to offer. Even walking through the trails you will feel like you have traveled outside the hustle and bustle of the city as its truly serene.

While we just came for a walk, we were surprised to learn that about the nature and discovery center that offers an affordable educational experience to both adults and children. It would be a great place to visit when the weather starts to get cooler or for any upcoming breaks when school is out. This along with returning to the park is on our to-do list next time we are in the area.
