Hudson House

When you are in the mood for a great happy hour and delicious bites, look no further than Hudson House. With their newest location open in Las Colinas off MacArthur Boulevard this restaurant is the perfect place to visit after work or when you’re just in the mood for something great.

This restaurant is decked out for the holidays, so we knew we had to stop by to toast to the holiday season. To start off the meal we took advantage off their happy hour menu that is served from 3pm to 6pm weekdays at the bar. We each grabbed a martini, a espresso for myself and a bleu & gold for my partner. Both were served ice cold and flavored to perfection with the espresso containing vodka, espresso, Kahlua & Bailey’s and the blue & gold served with Grey Goose, olive juice, bleu cheese salt, and bleu cheese stuffed olives.

The martinis tasted great with our appetizer of fresh oysters from the raw bar. We loved trying the seasonal mignonette & cocktail sauce. It was the perfect way to start off our happy hour and felt like we were dining in an upscale location. Since we were still a tad hungry, but didn’t want to eat a full meal we decided to split one of their famous cheeseburgers that were also on happy hour. This house specialty with served with two thin patties, American cheese, sliced pickles and onions and their famous Hudson sauce. The burger was cooked to perfection and offered the perfect savory bite to finish our happy hour.

I absolutely loved this spot and will be returning soon to take advantage of their happy hour or try out their tasty brunch options. No matter what you choose you know you are in for a treat when dining or sipping at Hudson House.
