The New Year is a perfect time to start off those resolutions of healthy eating and wellness. That is why I am so happy I found a sustainable restaurant in Fort Worth that offers local and organic food in a welcoming and relaxing environment. If you haven’t heard of Local Foods Kitchen before, then you need to read my amazing review of this wonderful restaurant.
Located off Hartwood Drive near the Clearfork area of Fort Worth, this diner like atmosphere is serving up delicious bites that everyone is sure to love. We stopped by after shopping in the area and knew based off the line we were in for a treat. Their menu offers a wide variety whether you are hoping for breakfast, light lunch, pasties, or dinners to go. The restaurant felt like a mix of a Whole Foods hot food bar and my favorite neighborhood café all in one.
While I waited in line to order, my friend was able to snag a table inside while we waited for our food to be prepared. We both decided on half entrée portions of their Kebab Cobb salad that once delivered to us felt like full size portions. Our salads were packed with fresh and delicious flavors of spicy tandoori chicken, avocado, tomatoes, smoked bacon, onion, feta cheese, peppers, mixed greens, Tzatziki dressing and crispy pita. We both loved the Mediterranean style flavors and how full we felt after eating our lunch.
Everything on their menu looked and sounded delicious and it was definitely a favorite in the area as the place was packed with restaurant goers and those picking up items for pick up and catering. Even though it was busy, we felt like the service was exceptional and everyone we interacted with was helpful and kind. This restaurant instantly became a new favorite for us and we look forward to returning soon to try more of their menu items both there and at home.
