Stellini Trattoria

If you need a spot for your next date night that highlights delicious Italian flavors in a beautiful ambiance, then you need to check out Stellini Trattoria. Located near historic downtown Grapevine this spot is perfectly situated in the Metroplex. While slightly tucked away off the main drag, we absolutely loved our dining experience here and have already booked our next reservation.

We had heard great reviews from friends who live nearby so we decided to check them out for ourselves. Parking for this spot is very convenient with street parking out front or inside the parking garage located behind the restaurant. It was easy to make a reservation online and when we arrived on a busy Saturday at 6:30pm our table was ready for us. Based on recommendations from our attentive server we decided to start off our meal with a round of cocktails and their famous rustic focaccia and meatballs.

Our wait was short before our food arrived hot and ready to enjoy. You could tell everything was house made and we loved the delicious meatballs that were served with stringy mozzarella and grilled ciabatta that was perfect to soak up the creamy marinara sauce. Not to be outshined, the oven-baked focaccia had delicious cherry tomatoes, olives and fresh rosemary that was savory and the perfect way to start off our meal.

For our main dishes we tried the rigatoni carpicciosa and the diavola pizza. The portion sizes for both dishes were huge and excellent to share amongst two people(and enough to bring home). The pasta dish was packed with vegetables of artichokes, mushrooms, tomato, and fresh basil. While the pizza had pomodoro sauce, mozzarella, sopresatta, burrata, basil and chili oil making it the perfect dish for someone who likes a bit of a kick. It was hard to pick a favorite amongst the two entrees as both had excellent flavor.

To complete our meal we ended with a slice of their layered chocolate cake that was sweet and delightful. The entire experience from the amazing service to the delectable food was such a treat. This spot was perfect for date night and a place that I know we will be returning to for years to come.
