Looking for a new book store to check out that isn’t corporate or a massive chain? neighbor books is a locally-owned and operated book store, offering fiction and non-fiction, as well as children’s book options.
Neighbor Books has a familiar feel upon walking in, even if you’ve never stepped foot inside the store before. The old, creaky wooden floors are inviting. I was impressed with the fiction selection. Neighbor Books even carried stories from Japanese authors I’ve been following online. “What You Are Looking For Is In The Library” by Michiko Aoyama is one of those books. In fact, it was recommended by another reader, or “neighbor”.
I was drawn to several selections like “The Match” by Sarah Adams and “The Burning Man” by one of my favorite authors, Ray Bradbury. Neighbor Books also carried Shakespeare classics like Romeo and Juliet and The Tempest.
The cooking selection was quite vast. I found a book about 101 ways to cook ramen noodles, which really interested me. I wasn’t expecting to see as many cooking books as I did.
No book store would be complete without cozy seating. Neighbor Books has an entire upper deck with cozy chairs and couches for all to read their new books.
Neighbor Books even has a weekly story time for kids!
