Common Grounds

When looking for a place to grab coffee you have a plethora of choices in the DFW area. What I have found to be an issue though is sometimes the expensive price tag for a latte doesn’t mean the taste will live up to what I would expect. That is why I am so happy to have found Common Grounds. Located in Fort Worth on the TCU campus off Greene Avenue this comfortable and tasty coffee shop makes you feel right at home.

While in the area for work, I decided to try this place out and I was very impressed. Walking in I was immediately impressed with their cozy atmosphere that is perfect for college students and young professionals alike. It felt like a great community spot with tons of lighting, plenty of tables, comfortable seating options, and a great menu of drink and food options.

I came during the morning rush and while there was lots of people, I was still able to grab a table and place my order in a reasonable time. Since I was looking for a morning pick-me-up I decided to try their Chocolate Florentine that was a mix of drip coffee, dark chocolate and milk. This drink felt truly luxurious compared to a regular drip coffee, but still had a great amount of caffeine to help me get through my day. While I didn’t partake in any of the food options, I loved that they offered a wide variety whether you were craving something sweet or savory.

In addition to this spot offering delicious food and beverage options, I felt the ambiance was perfect for what I needed. I saw several groups here as well and know it would be a perfect fit for gatherings whether you were working on a group project or looking somewhere to host your next book club meeting. They also offered a stage setup and I’m sure would be a fun atmosphere for live music or local events.

All in all I had a wonderful experience at Common Grounds and look forward to returning soon when I am in the Fort Worth area.
