If you are looking to catch a “free ride” in Dallas I recommend taking a trip on the M-Line Trolley. Taking a trip is easy as finding a designated M-Line stop and waving down the friendly drivers to show you want to ride. The fun part about this trolley system is that it is a name your own fare. You can make a donation with a credit card or they even accept Venmo or Paypal or simply drops cash or coins in the fare box once you’ve hopped on the trolley.
This unique transportation system makes any trip a memorable one as there are several stops in the Uptown area and even downtown. Whether you are looking to beat the heat or just enjoy a comfortable way to sightsee through the area, I recommend checking it out.
Their route schedule can be found online, through their app, or you can even be on the lookout for one of their signature marron M-Line signs. They make it easy to hop on and off the trolley car by pulling on a bell or string found above the seats. We enjoyed getting to use this system when dining and shopping in the area if we don’t feel like walking our route.
We truly love the Dallas streetcar service as it is safe, reliable and a convenient way to travel through Uptown and Downtown Dallas. So next time you are passing though the area, I would highly recommend checking it out.
