If you have a craving for authentic Italian faire, look no further than Angelo’s Spaghetti & Pizza House. Coined as the family restaurant you can afford, Angelo’s is located in Irving off West Pioneer Drive. Open since 1966 this family owned restaurant is serving up their famous Sicilian style pizza and famous pasta dishes all at a great price point.
We decided to visit them for a celebratory dinner and loved our experience. The atmosphere gave us a small town feel and we felt like we had stumbled upon a hidden gem. No fancy décor, but heartfelt food and service was well worth the trip for us.
Our group was easily seated during the dinner rush and we were greeted by several of their friendly staff members. The menu was packed with so many options and they truly had something for everyone. After pursuing the selections we placed our orders and patiently waited as we enjoyed each other’s company and delicious smells from the kitchen.
I started off my meal with a dinner salad and garlic toast that came complimentary with my pasta dish. It was a light and refreshing way to start off the meal. Then came the star of the show, the baked ziti that I personalized with alfredo sauce instead of marinara and two large meatballs. The entire meal was truly decadent and I loved that their sauces and toppings are made fresh daily. You could truly taste the love that was poured into each dish. My friends enjoyed their pizza that was pilled high with green peppers and a zesty sausage and their traditional spaghetti dinner that offered plenty of food to share.
We loved our time at Angelo’s and would recommend to anyone looking for a delicious meal and delightful atmosphere.
