If you are looking for tex-mex then your choices are truly endless in Dallas-Fort Worth. While there are lots of spots to choose from, my favorites are always the none chain restaurants that are located close to home. Recently, I had the opportunity to dine at Mercado Juarez Restaurant in Arlington located conveniently off of E Interstate 20. With it’s salmon pink colored exterior it’s hard to miss this spot.
Known for this mesquite grilled items and beautiful colorful cantina atmosphere, this spot is perfect for lunch or dinner. They even have a great weekday happy hour featuring discount pricing on margaritas, beers, and wines. Since we came for lunch, we missed out on the happy hour drinks, but enjoyed their wide selection of food.
For my main entrée I choose their chicken fajita that was part of their lunch special that came pilled high with fresh smokey chicken, sliced onions, bell peppers, charro beans, rice, guacamole, pico de gallo, cheese and their house made tortillas. Everything had such excellent flavor ad was plenty of food to keep me full and satisfied. My partner ordered the taco salad that came with ground beef over fresh green salad, chili con queso a variety of cheeses and served with guacamole and sour cream. They loved that it was served in a crispy tortilla bowl and everything tasted fresh and delicious.
Our food was well worth the prices and we were happy with how affordable the meal was. The wonderful service and delicious food makes this spot a great place dine.
